Zucchini Spread with Dill

Zucchini spread with touches of garlic and dill - very tasty on a slice of bread

Zucchini, 6 large units
coarsely grated
Onion, 1 large unit
cut into small cubes
Garlic, 4 cloves
Canola oil, 1/4 cup
Dill, 1/2 cup
chopped (or another chopped herb)
Salt, 1 flat teaspoon
Black pepper, 1/4 flat teaspoon


1. Fry the onion and garlic in oil.
2. Add the zucchini and dill, and continue to stir occasionally.
3. Add the spices, lower the heat and cook for about 25 minutes, until the zucchini softens to the desired texture.
4. You can season more if necessary and to taste.
