Ingredients
The Buckwheat
Buckwheat, 1 cup
Water, 1½ cups
Salt, 1/2 flat teaspoon
Canola oil, 2 tablespoons
The Vegetable Mixture
Onion, 1 medium unit
Canola oil, 3 tablespoons
Carrot, 1 medium unit
Red pepper, 1 medium unit
Green pepper, 1 medium unit
Sweet corn, 1 cup
Parsley, 2 medium stalks
Garlic, 3 cloves
Black pepper, 1/4 flat teaspoon
Cumin, 1/4 flat teaspoon
Turmeric, 1/4 flat teaspoon
Preparation
1. Put the buckwheat, water, salt and oil in a pot.
2. Stir the buckwheat from time to time and bring to a boil.
3. Lower the heat and cook the buckwheat for about 20 minutes or until it is ready (like cooking rice).
4. Fry the onion and other vegetables in a pan with a little oil, soften a little and add the spice mixture.
4. Stir the vegetables occasionally until softened.
5. When the buckwheat softens, mix together with the vegetable mixture and serve hot.
