Wide Green Bean in Lemon and Ginger Sauce

Wide green bean stew with onion and mushroom in an interesting sauce of fresh lemon juice and freshly grated ginger

Whole green bean, 500 g
wide and cut diagonally
Onion, 1 medium unit
cut into strips
Ginger root, 1 teaspoon
chopped, 1 piece (grated)
Olive oil, 3 tablespoons
for frying
Lemon juice, 1/2 unit
freshly squeezed
Salt, 1/2 flat teaspoon
Turmeric, 1/4 flat teaspoon
Cumin, 1/4 flat teaspoon
Black pepper, 1/4 flat teaspoon
Mushroom, 3 large sizes
Hot water, 1/2 cup


1. Fry the onion and ginger in hot oil, add the wide green bean and fry for about 10 minutes while stirring.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients, continue to fry and add the water gradually.
3. Leave over low heat for another 10 minutes or until the beans are tender.
