Jam and Nut Slices

Dough slices with a layer of jam and toppings like nuts, almonds, cranberries and sesame seeds - vegan, sweet and delicious energy snack

The dough
Butter-flavored margarine, 200 g
Sugar, 1/3 cup
Vanilla sugar, 20 g
Orange juice, 1/4 cup
freshly squeezed
Orange zest, 1 teaspoon
White flour, 2½ cups
The additions
Strawberry jam, 100 g
or jam in any flavor you like
Walnut, 100 g
coarsely crushed
Almond chips, 50 g
Cranberry, 2 tablespoons
Sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon


1. Knead all the dough ingredients well and flatten evenly on a baking pan (the pan can be lightly oiled but not mandatory).
2. Spread the jam on the dough in an even layer, add the nuts, almonds, cranberries and sesame seeds, and bake in the oven at 356°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden.
3. Cut into squares/slices only after the pastry has cooled completely.
