Pea Soup

Dry pea soup is delicious, healthy and easy to prepare - one of the most popular soups in the winter

Ingredients

Dried pea, 500 g
Water, 6 cups
as needed for the desired thickness
Garlic, 3 cloves
crushed or chopped
Canola oil, 1 tablespoon
for frying the garlic
Salt, 1 flat tablespoon
Black pepper, 1/2 flat teaspoon
Cumin, 1 flat tablespoon

Preparation

1. Select the peas and soak in a bowl with water for at least an hour (more is possible). Strain and wash, put in a pot with 5-6 cups of water and bring to a boil.
2. Cook for about half an hour (remove the occasional white foam) and then add the crushed and fried garlic (along with the oil), salt, black pepper and cumin, and continue to cook for another 10 minutes (check that the peas are soft and if not cook until soft).
4. Grind the soup in a blender and serve hot.
5. Flavors can be corrected as needed.

Tip
It is best served with croutons.

Equipment: rod blender.

The spices in the recipe are according to personal taste. The salt can be converted into chicken soup powder to taste. The nutritional value does not include the croutons. If it comes out thick, you can add as much water as you want until the thickness is right for you. The preparation method also includes frying.
