Soy chunks, 1 cup
Salt, 1/2 flat teaspoon
Turmeric, 1/2 flat teaspoon
Onion, 1 large unit
Canola oil, 1 tablespoon
Low-sodium soy sauce, 2 tablespoons
Teriyaki sauce, 2 tablespoons
1. In a small pot cook the soy chunks with salt and turmeric, until the liquids are absorbed, and the chunks swell (about 10 minutes).
2. In a small pan/pot, heat the oil, add the onion and fry until golden.
3. Add the soy chunks, season with soy sauce and teriyaki, continue to fry for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce is absorbed. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
